Hello to @ll TB-303 Fanatics!

I started this thread that all D16 Phoscyon user could share there patterns with the D16 Community!

So here is one of the most known TB-303 Acid lines:

New Order - Confusion (Pump Panel Reconstruction) form the well known "Blade" movie.
16 0 0
8 0 0 1 0 1 0 0 0
8 0 0 1 0 1 0 0 0
8 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0
8 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0
8 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
8 1 0 1 0 0 0 0 0
8 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0
8 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
11 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0
8 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
11 1 0 1 0 1 0 0 0
11 1 0 1 0 0 0 0 0
11 1 0 1 0 0 0 0 0
11 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0
8 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
11 1 0 1 0 0 0 0 0
To use this pattern make a new text file what-you-whant.txt (with wordpad or something) and copy the parameters into it. rename the what-you-whant.txt into what-you-whant.ph important is that the extension is .ph

Now you could load this file into D16 Phoscyon with the "load pattern" funktion.
First load the "Sqr Dist Dirty Fuzz" or "Sqr Dist Pre Eq" present.
To play this pattern, kick D16 Phoscyon into "seq IN" mode. Pattern Number key "C-0" and the hit play button on your host (Cubase,Logic,FL or somthing)

To get closer to the original sound you could use some plugins like "Antares - Tube, QuadraFuzz,..."
For other hard sounding lines you could use an good Virtual Guitar Amp like NI GuitarRig2. I also shoot it thru a hardware Guitar Effekt -> Warp Factor
Only one thing to say: "Bad As Hell"

have fun!

p.s. please excuse me for my bad english ;)

Uhhh thanks a lot.

Just a questtion
how i read or translate it to make a Midi file - can i get the same results?
I need it urgent. I have try'd it many times. And anything going wrong.
(I hate to loose my patterns (Battery Low) on real TB303
Therefore i make any patterns as a Midi File).

Now i hope to get thos sequence as a real MIDI File.
Any Idea or Help?

Thanks a lot.
Tom

Hi,

You can rewrite Your TB303 in a very simple way. Here is an instruction.

1. Set quantize in host to 1/32
2. Every single sound (no slide) should be 1/32 long and must start at 1/16
3. Every slided note must end at half of 1/16
4. Slided notes must overlap. First note must end at half of 1/16. Second note must start at 1/16
5. Not accented sounds must be set with volume less than 100
6. Accented sounds must be set with volume more than 100.

Hi
i did all the instructions and everything
but when the sequence is played, it sounds nothing like the new order pump panel remix bassline?

how do i get the same bassline, do i need to change the notes?

the ones you posted seem to be different,
do you have a small mp3 sample of what the notes shound sound like exactly?

it would help me out!

thanks

Hey, anyone remembers this track - I have no idea who made it. Play it with 134 BPM, some slight distortion, no Resonance (comes in later). I heard it late 90's on Mayday in Frankfurt. Anyone know's who this is - please let me know!
