I love the sound of this thing, I have no use for it in pattern mode, so I'll more than likely just be using my keyboard controller (I do rap music)...how many presets come with this synth?

There are no presets, just the knobs and switches to vary the sound. It's actually quite a limited synth, or more a very accurate representation of a limited synth.
