Randomizer? How does it work?
Randomizer? How does it work?
Can somebody explain me how the randomizer works? I don't get it. Thanks!
This is step instruction:
1. Insert PHOSCYON and turn it into INT.SEQ
2. Set any MIDI note on host
3. Press host's PLAY (PHOSCYON should play)
4. Set desired pattern length
5. Turn on RAND. MODE (note's LEDs blinks)
6. Click NEXT RAND (NEXT button)
7. Now turn SLIDE EVENT THR. and ACCENT EVENT THR. to eg. a half (these knobs defines how many slides, gates and accents appears)
8. You should hear randomised pattern. If You don't like it - just click NEXT RAND to randomise again.
9. You can also use predefined chord - for example set ARP. CHORD to DIM and click NEXT RAND.
10. As You can see now blinks notes only from this chord (C, D# and F#)
11. You can modify this chord by adding eg. G
12. Notes can be modified at every (of 4) octave. Switch between them using UP and DOWN buttons. if You wannt to clear specific octave just click CLEAR.
13. Press TRANSPOSE + or - to thanspose notes and click NEXT RAND.
14. If You like the randomised pattern press FLATTEN (CTRL + NEXT) to store this randomise setup in actually playing pattern
That's it
I think that everything is clear. The power of this randomiser is really big, because You decide which notes are randomised.
