univeral binary for the mac intel systems - will it work?

Post by intrepidtraveller » Wed Nov 22, 2006 6:33 am

will these play on the intel macs, because i friend of mine downloaded the 303 demo version on his intel mac and it doesn't seem to work... he could be doing something wrong though... he wants to buy it, but because of his experience with demo, he's hesistant that the full version with work on his intel mac....

Yes it works. I'm actually using it on MacBook and it works fine.
Please remember that at this time there is no AU version... But VSTi UB version works good on Intel Macs and PPC.

Remember that plug-in compatibility on Macs depends in large part on the host you're using. Cubase and Ableton (which use VSTs) should work seamlessly with Phoscyon, but Logic and Garageband (which use AUs) will not even load it until the AU version comes out.

Also, pay attention to the input mode when running the plug-in. A lot of people don't realize that they have Phoscyon in pattern mode when they're trying to play it live, or vice versa. This can be especially confusing with the demo version, since input is totally disabled in certain modes.

I can load Phoscyon using fxpansion vst to au wrapper, however when the registration window comes up, nothing happens when I click browse to locate the key file. Anyone else having this issue, or know how to resolve?

cheers

You can copy manually your key file to the folder where Phoscyon.vst exists. However don't know how good Phoscyon works with VST wrapper.

Sadly copying the key into the same folder as the vst didn't work - looks like I'll have to wait for the AU version :(

Does the VST to AU wrapper generate bundles? Right-click (or control-click) on the resulting AU and click "show contents" if the option is available; then try copying the key to the Contents or Resources folders.

Putting the key file in the same directory where the ini file is located at least resolved the license key issue, however none of the controls (other than patch browsing) are operable :( Still eagerly awaiting the AU version

NB - any plans for an AU version of the new Drumazon?

Cheers

Yes, there will be an AU of indeterminate release date. The Mac and PC VSTs will come out at the same time, it seems, on the announced release date of December 15th.

Nota bene...? "Note well?" Given that you asked a question, I think that's not what you meant

I would be very nice to use AU versions of your plugins.

Yes, we know Okaine  , but we have a lot of work with Drumazon now. Please be patient and the AU comes.

Thanks for the recent update to 1.5.7 - it now works in Logic running under FXpansion vst>AU wrapper

Can you get the multi-outputs working? I have the demo and have been holding back on the purchase till I know if I can.
