Hello everyone,

Im trying to recreate this sound:
bassline starts around 1:30

Is it possible t make this "warm, deep" bass on Phoscylon??

I played a little bit with knobs but the result was far far away from the sound i want to get....

Hi Asd,

I think the bass from the first clip can be done with Phoscyon; a square wave with delicate pulse asymmetry (just like in 303). Bit of resonance will be needed and doing the sequence with accented notes as well.

If comes to the second clip i'm not sure, i'd have to do some experiments

I tried to recreate this line on Phoscyon and LuSH. I doubt originally this sound was made with 303 (at least not modded one) because pulse width is slightly closer to the square waveform in the clip you've posted. I think i've got closer to original with LuSH-101; apart from waveform the envelope in the clip had more rapid decay. Check out the waves:

Here are zipped presets for Phoscyon, Sigmund and LuSH-101. Sigmund was used as dynamics and chorus insert effect on Phoscyon's track.
