64 bit version

Post by hazardman » Wed Jan 18, 2012 2:26 am

i know it's been asked several times around here (perhaps not as directly) but i'm just wondering if there are any further developments in the 64 bit version of the plugin...i've seen a thread dated almost a year ago saying that d16 would be porting all of their plugins to 64 bit once the sh-101 was released...

just curious...

Hi,

At this moment 64bit Release Candidates of SilverLine updates are available for our customers already. Classic Boxes (including Phoscyon) are on their way, on the beginning they will be provided for registered users only as Release Candidates.

Best regards,
Sebastian

Hi i am just wondering why the drums were done but not this...

can i at least presume that phoscyon 64 bit is definitely coming soon now??

It was your very first product and i am sure the most copies sold would be this one.. so i am just wondering why it is last??

cheers!

Hi TTOZ,

Let me explain this. Despite the fact Phoscyon is first our plug-ins, is the most complex one considering structure (not DSP), i mean sequencer, configuration, number of different modes it can work in. SilverLines are only effect plug-ins with simple structure (in, out, parameters, preset management, options panel for configuration), so it's obvious they require less work to make them suitable to new framework. Next in queue were Drum Machines, because are more complex, they all have sequencers, are synchronized with host application, but also share plenty of common source code. Going from the simplest to the most complex plug-in during update process also helped us to optimize whole process and now when we're working on Phoscyon update we know exactly what to do to speed procedure up. I believe it'd take much longer if we had start with Phoscyon and then drum machines leaving SilverLines are the last ones + you wouldn't have seen any effect of that work for a long long time.

Phoscyon RC will be released soon, no worries.

Best regards,
Sebastian

I can't find the version number anywhere on the GUI or sub menus.
