external sequencer in 1.8

Post by scotartt » Sun Mar 13, 2011 7:33 am

looking at the 1.8 manual, in external sequencer mode it looks like the old way of controlling gate/accent/slide with note values appear to be no longer available? is this correct?

if so it means that 1.8 upgrade is off my agenda entirely.

Hi,

Yes, we abandoned this way of making synth lines, because it's absolutely doable to achieve same results using regular midi notes
(slide by overlapping notes, accented notes by bigger velocity value).

Unfortunately it's not compatible backward so i advise you to finish your crucial projects with older 1.6 >= version.

Best regards,
Sebastian

thank you.

that implementation makes more sense, technically, but not if i've got old midi files i need to access. although in the most case, they may be easy to edit to fix.

Hi

Version 1.6 is still downloadable from User Area (add-ons section).

Best regards,
Sebastian
