I am using ableton live, and just switched from 1.6 to 1.8


my projects are all broken and won't play like they used to!!!!!


what are the steps I need to take to have them play as intended (as with 1.6)?

the patch is not the same, I am not even sure about the patterns being the same, the midi mappings are not the same (so the recorded parameter automation won't work) so how can I even use the upgrade????


I would love to have a step-by-step procedure here...

The same information was in the email's content regarding to 1.8 update.

We had to break with compatibility between 1.6 and 1.8 versions and it's recommended to finish critical projects with the 1.6 version, which is downloadable from User Area still (add-ons tab).
