I can't get the plugin to work at all using Wavelab 5....I'm kind of a n00b, but I want to get into making Acid Music, and was wondering how I get the program to work....thanks!

As far as I know Wavelab uses only VST effects, not VSTi (instruments).
You need to use any VSTi compatible host program...

Would Sony's Sound Forge work?

Unfortunately not :) Exactly like Wavelab...
To list some names of the hosts which deal with VSTi's: Ableton Live, Cubase, Nuendo, FL Studio, Orion, Renoise, energyXT, Bidule and many many more... I just listed some of them without any preferences - just off the head...

Cheers mate, I'll start off with Cubase, since I have it, but I might try some of the others. What's your preference?

I don't have it. I just make plugins :) Maybe other users give you some hints about pros and cons of the specified hosts...

with cubase you have a great host !
at least if you have a SX version of it..
anyway why you wanted to use it in wavelab before ?
