writing patterns in liveoff mode sounds different...

Post by AlienFactory » Tue Jul 03, 2007 12:59 am

.... and the starting point is one 16th later????

I tried to rewrite a pattern by midi notes in live off mode with the detailed accent/slide/gate commands, but it sounds different (harder attack???) and the starting point has to be a 16th note earlier to get this note to be the first one at bar position 1.0, which means I got to program the first note to be heard in the bar as the last in the sequence...

I'm on a macbook with LIVE 6.07...

Any suggestions???

regards,

stefan

...weird stuff happening...the start point isue is fixed somehow....

but it still sounds different...

maybe due to the internal sequencer????

any comments welcome....

The internal sequencer plays notes for 1/32 long, while in PLAY LIVE Phoscyon plays notes exactly with the lenght determined by midi messages.
Normally if You want to reach true 303 bassline You should set notes length to about 1/32 (unslided ofcourse).
When PLAY LIVE is turned off then Phoscyon also set the note length to 1/32.

Maybe this is an explaination of the "weird" attack?
