It's the default "What the ...?" patch on the Alpha / MKS-50. I could extract the sysex data of the patch and post it. But of course that's only useful if you have a Juno, and then you probably got the patch too.

Oh and remember Prodigy's Charley (The Cat Song) too... :)

Second Phase - Mentasm was definitely the first track to ever use the hoover sound. The fact that a hoover is also called a Mentasm should give the game away somewhat.

Joey Beltram, the co-creator of the Mentasm did say though that he sampled the hoover from the Alpha Juno into another synth so the hoover in the Mentasm track cannot be fully recreated using an Alpha Juno on its own. He refuses to say what synth he sampled it into. Spoilsport lol.

Factory patch B86 "What the .."
Sampled into whatever kind of sampler, probably Roland W-30 or something similar.
