How to pronounce your plugin names?

Post by audiosync » Tue Aug 11, 2009 12:51 pm

May sound silly, but I am really interested what d16 plugin's names mean and how they are pronounced correctly.

Do I prononounce Drumazon like "Amazon" or more like "Amazing"?
What is with Nepheton? Saying it more latinum this accentuates both "e"s - or is it more like "neevton" or "neeveeton"?

And the hardest: Phoscyon - i really got problems writing this...let alone pronounciation...?

Hmmmm good question. I've always pronounced them Druma-zon Like "this druma's on fire!" Neh-Fe-tun and Fo-See-On . :D

Hey,

I updated manuals for Nepheton, Drumazon, Nithonat and Toraverb. On the front page of each of them is an IPA standarized pronunciation as we think those names should to be said :)

Best regards,
Sebastian

Ok, i loaded actual manual for nepheton.
easy going, i didn't expect that it's like i would say it in german :-)

both 'e' spoken like 'gender' and the 'o' pronounced like in 'morning'.
(To use the examples from wikipedia)

Hi,

Yes, we do pronounce those names in a "hard" manner :)
