Since lush is getting multicore support it would be nice to have it on sigmund too. Love the sound but it can be beast on the cpu even on a 2600k depending on the settings

Hi,

From what was told me by devs It's not likely to be possible to implement it in Sigmund, since delay lines can work in all different configurations. It'd be possible if the delay lines worked in parallel fashion only (so each delay line could be processed simultaneously by different thread), where as in serial connections the threads couldn't work due to different time settings each delay line can have.

Best regards,
Sebastian

Same here, love the sound but it's heavy on my PC's CPU (i7 3930k) too. Studio One 2.6 x64 reports around 14% CPU usage per instance, same goes for Cubase 6.5 x64 (give or take).
But the main issue I have is when switching presets. This results in heavy CPU spikes in both S1 and Cubase. Is this normal behaviour?

Hi,

CPU spikes when preset is changes is normal behavior. We could get rid off them, but it'd increase CPU usage on average, so we believe it's better as it is at the moment.

Kind regards,
Sebastian
