Have you downloaded the latest update? You can turn the keyboard on and off.
It's only work if you'd rather be doing something else...

Nope only played with the demo. But does it make the knobs bigger or does it just remove the keyboard part. If it just removing key section my examples are still better

Hi there,

Calm down guys :) There soon skinning option will be implemented and all problems will be gone, with an option of hiding a keyboard which is already preset in latest LuSH version along with planned higher resolution skin the GUI will become more readable, although more suitable for panoramic LCDs :)

Best regards,
Sebastian

That is really nice. Who doesn't have a dual/triple monitor setup with their DAW these days anyway.

I think the next big step would be to make the whole thing as SVG Graphics so it can scale up/down in any size you want. But I do not know if any DAW software support this (yet). Maybe a step in between, is to replace different resolution steps when resizing the plugin.

Hi,

SVG would be nice, but at the moment current computers won't allow to make look them very realistically, it is possible, but resizing such a photo realistic GUI would be very time and CPU consuming. Firstly preparing such a skin would be extremely difficult task for a graphic designer. I'm not sure if any of available renderers our there provide such a possibility, to generate SVG output. Preparing it manually would be pure masochism ;) also raster to vector converters aren't so good yet.

Cheers,
Sebastian

Hello!

I'd like to suggest being able to use the host-automation parameters as a source in the modulation matrix. It's as simple as that :)

Keep up the good work!

Hi Rune,

Are you aware the VST/AU parameter automation feature is already there?
Check out manual, page 82, and let me know if that's what you're looking for?

I've looked at those, but that will only allow me to set absolute values, one layer and parameter at a time.

What i'm thinking of is basically some additional sources in the modulation matrix, which could be controlled by host-automation as opposed to midi. Right now the only continuous controllers usable are modulation, expression, pitchbend and ch. pressure - and i'd like to use pitch bend + modulation for its "classic" purpose, which leaves me with only 2 "aux controller inputs". I guess having access to all CC's (or at least 8 ) in the matrix would be a good work-around, but in an ideal world i would love to have automation available as a matrix source - especially because it has greater resolution than the 7bit cc's. That said, i'm not sure what lush's internal slider-resolution is, so perhaps cc's are enough.

Best,
Rune

Hi,

Ah, ok. Thank you for clarification :) .. It's absolutely no problem to increase number of MIDI sources in Modulation Matrix, to make all CCs available (some of them with names like Modulation, Sustain etc, other ones with just the numbers like CC #23, CC #24 ...). It's simple to do, but making some meta-parameters that would be present in the Modulation Matrix as a sources and also automatable via regular VST/AU parameter automation, that's completely different and i'm not sure if it'll be necessary, because in one of future updates we're going to introduce a Function macro knobs, that'll be VST/AU automatable and assignable to internal synth parameters in a same manner as it's now done with Sources in Modulation Matrix. Also Marco function knobs will be affecting parameters they're assigned to relatively, not absolutely, just like sources in Modulation Matrix. Macro function knobs will work globally per instance of a plug-in, so single knob will be allowed to affect parameters from all layers + mixer at the same time.

Best regards,
Sebastian

.. beautiful! - looking forward to the macro functionality. I figured the CC's were easy to implement, since it's already there with a limited selection.

Also, if you wanna get fancy with the modulation, perhaps you could implement a "catch-range" for the cc's in the matrix, so a certain parameter would only get affected when the values is above (or below, or between) x. That would provide for some interesting possibilities :)

The LuSH-101 is a great plugin! I mainly use hardware, but this plugin I had to buy because it looks almost like a real 101 (which I have) and sounds great. Just using the interface makes me feel good. My requests are:

1) GUI: Although the front panel looks beautiful, the texts are a little bit too small (hard to read even with 40 inch HDTV!), maybe 10-20 % too small. So, please give an option, or just force a new slightly bigger GUI in a future update. However, try to maintain the beautiful graphics! :)

2) A single layer version with no fx! -> less cpu usage, simpler to manage. The LuSH-101 is a very complex synth which can also be a good thing for nice multilayer patches, but the original 101 was a very simple synth, so it would nice to see a light 1-layer version of the plugin.

The option to select whether the keyboard is visible or not was very good, thank you! :)

Hi,

The fully operational modulation matrix, with signal sources like envelopes or LFOs, not only MIDI sources like the current mod matrix operates on, would require a lot more CPU power if we wanted to preserve the sonic quality of LuSH. As you know LuSH-101 as it is, can consume easily whole CPU power of almost every modern processor (of course depending on polyphony and number of layers used in preset) and we don't want even to imagine what would have happened if we had made the modulation matrix operating with envs and LFOs as sources. The reason is that modulation matrix would have to operate on way higher frequency than it's done now with MIDI sources causing way more intense CPU power consumption. As we spoke on many occasions we do plan to make our plug-in being able to utilize multicore platforms, because it's the only chance to decrease required CPU resources by LuSH, and only then we could think about implementing more advance features into the modulation matrix. Anyway thank you for suggestion :)

Best regards,
Sebastian

LuSH-101 is very feature packed, and lots of the parameters on the front make it a little to get a good overview of them.
I would like to see some options in preferences to enable or disable certain functions to turn things on/off.
It's to busy right now to get a good overview of all the parameters. Maybe the default should be a monophonic synth without the fx section and multimode mixer?
An option for showing up just as a SH-101 would be nice to see. I would also like to see the arpeggiator/sequencer being programable and support midi out of notes.

Hi Decagon,
Maybe the default should be a monophonic synth without the fx section and multimode mixer?
If you load default preset LuSH works exactly this way (monophonic synth, single layer, fx disabled and without engaging mixer) and takes as much of processor resources as required by monophonic synth (a little). So i'm sorry, i don't see the point.
I would also like to see the arpeggiator/sequencer being programable and support midi out of notes.
Take a look at my last post here:

Hi,

I would really like a "Master filter" (Cut Off, Resonance etc) that would affect all layers.

Also the ability to sort patches by user rating would be pretty handy, as i'm too lazy to copy them all into a new folder.
