Bad Sound by full attack at bassdrum

Post by Jass » Thu Jun 10, 2010 12:15 pm

hi!

playing the bassdrum with low attack level, everything is fine...now i´m change the attack, the bassdrum gets a little bit distortion. sounds like a really close delay...change back to lowattacklevel, everything is fine again. and possibly the toms sounds "dirty" too...maybe, the buffersize or something isnt correctly, but every other plug/dll is working fine...host is energy xt2.5, windows xp.

am i mad (i can´t think this is a bug), or is this "normal"?

cheers:)

Hi,

BD:
This is regular behavior of VCA of the real 606 - small clipping that seems to be a flutter echo. You can lesser this by using non-accented notes, also by decreasing attack.

TOMS:
They're supposed to be dirty like in 606 :)

Best regards,
Sebastian
