Decimort first public beta.

Post by Igor » Wed Sep 24, 2008 7:54 am

I have tested first Decimort beta in Energy XT2. After inserting, the sound doesn't output at all. The Decimort signal meter doesn't show any activity with all the presets.

Hi

I've just checked Decimort, You're right, there're no indications of activity (meters don't work) We need to check this. But audio is processed fine. You need to set send value:

EDIT:

I had some old internal d16 beta version, I installed a moment ago released beta and everything is fine:

Could You tell me what configuration do You use?

Best regards,

I have latest XT2 ver. Windows XP SP2. Intel Dual core. Audigy 2ZS Notebook(PCMCIA).
Project info: 48Khz and 32 bit(floating)

I haven't used it as send yet, only as insert. I will see if I forgot to put 100 dry/wet(by default it's 100 btw) Thanks.
Also will check REAPER.

I switched ASIO4ALL driver for 48khz and 32bit in Energy and also worked.

Hi !

I preorder Decimort some days ago and i got the beta v0.96

It's the first time i buy a software from your company
and it's a incredible plugin...

It can really turn a sterile cold digital beat, to a warm/phat drumbeat.

My only 'issue' with the beta (and i hope it's not because of the algorithm complexity) is the CPU load.

3 Decimort in my Cubase project, and my CPU is full, if i downgrade the samplerate more on Decimort, the CPU load become lighter, but still in it's beta version it's an hungry plugin!

Anyway, i'm in love with this little tool, and it will be used a lot in my productions for sure

Congratulations & thanks for that.

PJ

Hi,

Thank You very much for Your kind words.

I'm afraid Decimort cannot be optimized significantly (few percents max), mainly because we applied there the latest DSP algorithms developed after the year 2000, among the others band limited wave shaping, it was necessary to achieve high quality sound of Decimort. We decided to do so, instead making ordinary oversampling, because modern processors became very powerfull, and it's the right time to use modern algorightms providing the highest possible quality.

Best regards,
Sebastian
