Devastoration

This is absolutely fantastic!
This kind of distortion/overdrive unit is exactly what I've been wanting in software for years! Now I can finally get some serious overdriven sound from software. There's nothing as good as Devastor.

Here is a little thing I played quickly to demonstrate some devastoration capability. First the clean, then the devastated sound. (the synth is Yamaha TG77 for anyone interested)

:) the "clean" actually really is clean (but a "dirty" FM patch), no effects other than chorus and delay+reverb.

This virtual preamp of yours is really crazy :). I'm really glad I can get this kind of sound with software, you have no idea how much I love such distortion.. I hope you'll keep improving the sound, adding even more realism to its character. High gain settings especially show how high quality your design really is, and how it really is carefully modelled after real circuits.

Yes it gives a nice improvement eg for hihats.
But at the moment its not really clear how the filters are working and it would be a nice idea to have something like a bypass for each filter?

There are 3 distortion units? The filters are to adjust the distortion units or to filter the signal before the distortion units?

Hehe, yes a manual is missing this time :)

+1!

3 x bypass switch, parallel / serial routing switches would be a great addition. Also, parameter value display of frequencies and levels would be very useful.

And how about tempo-sync'ed LFO(s) to frequencies / levels ? Would save both me and my host lots of work to make things more dynamic.

Hi,

Manual hasn't back yet from spellchecking, so if anyone of You guys want it, just pm me, and I give You a link to it. Certainly when it'll be finished I'll publish it online and make it downloadable as PDF.

Best regards,
Sebastian
