Jacek, will the next update do anything about the VSTI sync issue?

Great, Jacek. A very significant improvement! Looking forward to the update, and I hope other parts will have some improvements as well :).

If You mean the problem mentioned in the "Problem with Drumazon and Cubase sx 3.1" (DR Technical issues), please, read the answer I posted there http://www.d16.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=586

Looking at the TR 808 service manual I found some Pots inside the real 808 you can change the white/pink noise levels and their amount of diffusion. Now I can make my real 808 sound like Nepheton 8) ...

You can for example make the snare sound really gritty or tweak the clap from "splashy" to "reverb only".

If you are looking forward to doing this, do it at your own risk. I installed a kenton retrofit midi kit into my 808 so I already had it open. But if you're satisfied with how your baby sounds like just leave it closed...

I'd love to have these pots on the outside of the machine.

Maybe a feature for the next Nepheton release? I don't want to drill more holes into my baby.

I promise i'll check it out. Maybe we can add this controls in 'Settings window' or You thought about main gui? There isn't a lot of free space ;)

Settings window would be more like the original. 8)

btw. You could add a "dirty pots" option then it would sound like most of the real ones out there... just kidding...

Heya, J. The new HHs sound GREAT!

Glad to hear about the upcoming snare revision as well. Nep sounds great but sonds a bit off from my 808 (and everyone elses!) so looking forward to that. Overall, GREAT product!!

Can't WAIT to see what's next!! (CR-78!)

Can't wait to get the new version ;) Additional parameters sound very desirable as well (already posted about it in another thread), but even with a new hihat model, I am very happy!

For my opinion is Nepheton a very good 808 simulation.
Only Hihat and Cymbal are still NOT my favorites.

In what version is the new hi hat model included?
I'm using 1.0.5 and the hats sound very weak, not at all like any of my 808s.

I would vote for the main gui. So these parameters could be automated thru host or MIDI!

Cowbell?

Post by savojr » Mon Jun 15, 2009 3:23 pm

I think that Cowbell still sounds that much different that using normal sampled sound works better for me.

At least when last checked..
