Looking at the TR 808 service manual I found some Pots inside the real 808 you can change the white/pink noise levels and their amount of diffusion. Now I can make my real 808 sound like Nepheton ...
You can for example make the snare sound really gritty or tweak the clap from "splashy" to "reverb only".
If you are looking forward to doing this, do it at your own risk. I installed a kenton retrofit midi kit into my 808 so I already had it open. But if you're satisfied with how your baby sounds like just leave it closed...
I'd love to have these pots on the outside of the machine.
Maybe a feature for the next Nepheton release? I don't want to drill more holes into my baby.

New HH sounds great!
Heya, J. The new HHs sound GREAT!
Glad to hear about the upcoming snare revision as well. Nep sounds great but sonds a bit off from my 808 (and everyone elses!) so looking forward to that. Overall, GREAT product!!
Can't WAIT to see what's next!! (CR-78!)
