Nepheton is coming

Post by Przemek@d16 » Thu Feb 22, 2007 1:30 pm

We would like to announce our newest child the Nepheton - Wesoły Bębniarz. Take a look at it (http://www.d16.pl/index.php?menu=153) and listen to the audio samples :)

Cross-grade offers for registered users (both Phoscyon and Drumazon) will be available.

More details soon...

Cheers,
d16 group

Incredible! Nepheton will be soon the best friend of my Drumazon copy!
Huge respect to your team and thanks a lot to allow us to produce real old school music with modern softwares!

Wow. I'm especially impressed by the cymbal sound, and how the synthesis eliminates that terrible waveform looping that one can hear in Rebirth and the pre-release AR Drum Machine samples that I've heard.

As for authenticity, the individual differences between each 808 is more audible than for 303s, so I can't really make any comment other than "It sounds great!"

Yeah, that was the first thing i saw too

I hope it will be a better simulation than all before. Rebirth or Drumstation was never convincing for my as a TR-owner.
I`m waiting for the demo-version

on some forums, people are complaining about the "dirtness" of the kick, now I guess in the demo's that "low noise" and "longness" thats typical about the 808 isn't tuned in ?

the bassdrum of the prereleased audio-demos (player) has to be a little deeper and warmer. However.. it looks very nice - I'm curious about it ;)

best regards..

Wait and hear the WAVs. I assume the player is using MP3 compression.

hehe, oh well: made a special topic for that, so it's solved.

I'm aware they use compression and thats why I'm very surprised why some others are already having an oppinion and thinking it's bad befor waiting. Me i'm very curious :)

the half closed hat

Post by thomek » Mon Apr 16, 2007 4:50 pm

I also cannot wait to hear more then the mp3's.

As a previous 808 owner (sadly mine was stolen, snif ...) and a current Drumstation owner I can only hope you guys will do better then the rest.

The Drumstation is really disappointing in the emulation of the hihats. They lack the phasing but most of all Novation just forgot about the half closed hat sound of the 808! When you layer a closed hat and an open hat you get that wonderfull half closed hat. Don't forget about it, please !

grts

We don't forget ofcourse, but we've added decay knobs for both hihats, so the control is even better
