FL Studio, triggering Accent in External mode

Hi there,
Have a question regarding the use of FL Studio in conjunction with D16 drum machines.
As i'm informed, in external mode, a DAW should send velocity 127 to these plugins to trigger "accent" functionality.
However, FL Studio doesn't work with absolute values; it works with percentages and 100% doesn't seem to trigger the accent functionality.
Is this a known problem and is there a workaround apart from using the internal mode of the plugins?
