Nepheton Tuning

Post by Surgeon11 » Thu Mar 05, 2015 2:36 pm

Hi

Is there a way I can tune the High hats and other sounds that do not feature a tuning pot in Nepheton? I don't want to sample them to do this as it kind of defeats the point of having such a great instrument.

Hi,

I'm sorry, but there's nothing beside Tone parameter for HiHat sound which controls the base frequency of square wave oscillators that are very basis for the metallic noise. It'd be impossible to make this sound chromatically tunable (adjusting synthesis algorithm) with preserving original 808 character. The way how the sound is achieved (in Nepheton as well as in real 808) is pretty mind-blowing :)

Kind regards,
Sebastian
