Hi there,
Just began using Nepheton with Cubase sx 3. When I'm in pattern write mode, with the int. seq & int. sync on, the notes are not actually playing until 4 steps after where they are toggled on the sequencer, which you could imagine makes it quite hard to sequence anything.
How do I fix this?

Actually that should read 5 notes after the toggle, not 4.
To clarify...if I select a BD on step 1, I will not hear the sound until the light travels to step 6. This occurs with every sound.

Hi,
So basically You have problems with synchronization Nepheton with Cubase? Am I right?
You wrote that You have INT.SYNC on , please turn it off, beacuse only then Nepheton will be synchronized with the host.
Best regards,
Sebastian

It's interesting -- when I turn the INT SYNC off, it's 5 steps until I hear the note. With INT SYNC on, it's 4 steps the light travels until I hear the note.
I should add that the default patterns loaded play perfectly in time, with their toggles in the default places -- odd, yes? However any time I try to make my own adjustment or wipe the slate and write a new pattern, there is the delay issue.
This is with Cubase on all defaults, with no project even open, just nepheton loaded.
Any ideas? Would this be an issue in Cubase, some setting?
Thanks Sebastian,

While double checking the ASIO driver Cubase was using, I found somehow it had been using the wrong one. You can imagine my horror when output latency was rated at 750ms.
Anyway, I selected the right driver and tweeked it down to about 30ms for now, which isn't great but it'll get the job done.
Everything is good now
Thanks for your help Sebastian.
