Nepheton beta version (1.0.5b2)

Post by Sebastian@d16 » Fri Nov 02, 2007 10:10 pm

There're new Nepheton's betas available. These versions are available for customers, who bought the Nepheton.

No longer available to download - there's an official release

Changes:

- improved Cymbal, Open Hihat and Closed Hihat synthesis (less overtone)
- fixed host's crashes during window editor closing (Cubase, Ableton Live)

Best regards,
Sebastian

hello!
Great, but it seems that the CPU usage is much Higher with this beta.
But maybe it's normal because of some kind of debug code or something like that ??
Cheers

Hello,

What machine do You use and is the high CPU usage persists, or makes some peaks?

Can You tell how much more CPU power is this version consuming comparing to the previous one?

regards,
Sebastian

Ok
i'm using 2,16 intel core duo Black Macbook with 2 gigs of ram
I can't reproduce the problem today
Yesterday evening i've made several tests and one of my Ableton LIVE set containing an instance of Nepheton was taking 15% CPU ans suddenly about 25%...
But i'm really sorry that i can't reproduce it today..........
If i got something new, i'll post it immediatly

Sorry for the convenience

To be sure, we'll check out if everything is optimized for getting maximum efficiency and if whole debugging code is turned off.

Regards,
Sebastian
