What is Total Accent?

Manual says:

The Total accent track is used to accent All parts on a given step.
The steps to accent are selected the same as any other track using the Step buttons.
The value is either On or Off.

But I think it is wrong? A step can be On,Off or Accented. And I think Total accent just increase the volume of the Accented step right? (even if seems that Accented step differs of volume and somethings other that it is not specify in the manual). Also: the led near Total accent? It has nothing to do with random here (I guess).

Can you make more clear this part please?

Thank you very much! Love this plugin.

Hi Nowhk,

In Drumazon there're two kind of accents:

- Per step accent, achievable by changing step's state (off, on, accented)
- Global accent, which comes from additional track : AC (Accent track). If you want to edit Accent track it is selectable from "Instr Selector" dial in the middle part of GUI only.

Global accent track has only two-state steps; on and off (enabling global accent for particular position for all instruments). If you set a step on the Accent track it'll affect all instrument tracks. So if you switch on the second step in the Accent track, all instruments will be intensified on the second step. Global accent knob controls the power of the effect. I need to mention that Global accent adds up with regular, per step accents. So if you set accented step for instrument track and additionally enable step on the same position in Accent track, you'll get the loudest sound possible.

Another thing worth of mentioning is that accent in all our drum machines is not only about sound volume, it also affects other, specific to the instrument, sound qualities.

Kind regards,
Sebastian

It indicates the same as leds near instruments' Level knobs. Total Accent can be randomized.
If during selecting tracks to be randomized you will select also TA - by turning INSTR SEL to TA you can randomize TA steps.
Then led will indicate randomization and Total Accent level knob will let you tune intensity.
