Arturia Spark

Post by Custa » Wed Jul 27, 2011 1:50 pm

Hi guys,
I recently purchased an Arturia Spark, nice lil piece of hardware, would love to be able to program in realtime Drumazon and Nepheton the same way I can do with it's internal libraries

Apple Mac mini Core 2 Duo 2Ghz - 2GB RAM - 120GB 5400 RPM and 1TB 7200 RPM Drive

I to am wanting this, and I have figured out some things.

I edited the Spark controller with it's editor, assigning the bottom pads to the correct Midi Note Messages of the Drumazon instruments.

kick - 35 snare - 38 clap - 39 snare - 40 c-hh - 42 o-hh - 46 crash - 49 ride - 51 tom lo - 41 tom mid - 47 tom hi - 50

In the Spark editor do this for each pad on channel 2 and in gate mode.

Mapping it's knobs are easy so I won't go into that.

Using Drumazon (AU) in an Ableton 8 midi track with the above completed, make a new midi clip in Ableton. Arm the tarck and start to record. With Abletons "Record Quantization" set to on you start tapping in sounds from Drumazon in real time.

Not everything but it's a fun start for sure
