Hello World!

After their excellent work on Phoscyon, our friends at d16 brings out "Drumazon", a dream come true for me! I can´t wait to have my "dirty" hands on it! :)

Yours

It's kinda funny... Everyone's been ignoring d16 for the longest time, and whenever I or somebody else brought up Phoscyon, those who had heard of it decried it as a hoax, or as vaporware. Even after it came out, nobody cared.

Now Drumazon gets announced and within the week, the entire world has blown its load.

I still think the name sucks though

"Phoscyon" is an awesome name. But "Drumazon".... I... I'm sorry. I just can't deal with it. :?

(I'm mostly kidding. I'll get over it. After all, what's in a name? :) )

So you one of the few who really like Phoscyon's name :)
But "Sztuczny perkusista" saves this a little ;)

I know... It doesn't matter. At least as long as it is a vaporware ;)

Then I already like this name better than Drumazon. Now practice pronouncing it properly...

BTW your avatar reminds me of the cover of Evolver's 'Grid' album: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolver_(The_Grid_album). Way cool 8)

"Sztuczny perkusista". I have learnt to say it perfectly! I use it as a pick up line in bars.

Girl: What do you do?
Me: I make dance music.
Girl: Really? Cool.
Me: Yeah, you should come over some time. Check out my "Sztuczny perkusista".
Girl: Hmm...

Thank you so much, D16! Drumazon is so good it's just ridiculous. The handclaps alone are worth the purchase price!

Drumazon SIMPLY SOUNDS AMAZING. I just still can't believe my ears. A "real 909" *might* be better, but I kind of doubt it. What a fantastic product!

We did an AB of the 909 and this beside each other and I was pretty shocked how close it is. The 909 sounds a bit different though as will each 909. The way I would actually say its different is simply that the 909 on the toms and kicks and snare is just more analog. Now being fair once they where recorded and depening on the soundcard the software would yield a better result. We used a FireFace 800 and at 192KHz the 909 recorded better but on the Delta 1010 at 24bit 96Khz I would take the software. Also there is the sound of the mixer (if you use one) that was a factor. There is no question the software is way more convienient. BTW the soundsytem I used is in the area of 30K for playback so it really was an acid test so to speak.

More and more I am impressed with the software.
Good work!
