Tone and snappy parameters on Drumazon snare both amp env`s?

Post by flex nes » Wed Aug 13, 2008 9:41 am

Hi,

I wonder if these parameters dont affect timbre - aka filtering ?

They are decay and release amp envelopes only?

Cheers

Hi,

Snappy is exactly a "Noise Volume" parameter and Tone is indeed decay of the noise env. These parameters don't affect the sound timbre at all.

Aha, thanks for reply ! Never mind the last post - the volume decay sounded a bit to me like the sound was getting darker also.

Yes, it is a pure white noise, but precisely bandpass filtered :)

Nepheton's snare noise is a little bit more complicated - it uses some transistor clipping and then ofcourse bandpass filter :D
