We would like to announce our new product Drumazon, a virtual drum synthesizer. Its release date is planned on December 15-th (this year :-)) and will be available as VSTi both on PC and Mac (Universal Binary).

We also run new forums dedicated to Drumazon.

Best,

Synthesis Details?

Kind of hoping there might be some additional detail posted on how the systhesis elements work. Being that a few of the 909's sounds were (12 bit) samples anyways, I want to see "under the hood". I am sure it is a nice plug, but it would be a LOT of money if it were just sample-based.

I assume the HH and Cymbal samples are crunched down to 12-bit...

Thanks!

CH, OH, CR and RD are samples, but... 6-bit like original. Except these instruments all the rest is pure synthesis - VCO's, diode clippers etc.
Even noise for snares, toms, bass drum and claps is generated and then filtered in real time.
All this things took plenty of our time :)

Right on!

I'm just glad that you didn't do the TR-808 first! It has been a lifelong dream but I finally bought one in MINT condition (with MIDI!) a few months ago. If you made the 808 and it sounded as good as Phoscyion, I would have been very upset! ;)

...but is there any chance you will do it??

I also have CR-78 and CR-8000. Go on, break my heart and make ALL of them into these great sounding plugins!! =)

Maybe you could add an total decay knob for all the instruments at once?

Decay

Hey DMM - good call! I've never seen that done (outside of some of my Reaktor ensambles) and DEFINATELY not on a drum machine! But a gerat idea!

It can be done in very simple way without TOTAL DECAY knob...
You must just connect all DECAY parameters to one knob of the midi controller and voila :)

@Jacek:

But then all the values will be the same for all the instruments.
And not like decay 1/2 for BD and 4/5 for SD with total decay fully open
And 0 decay for all instruments when total decay is closed.

Ok, so You mean something like "SCALE DECAY" function...
I see... I'll check how it sounds and upload a sample of it :)
