XML for the web geeks here!

Post by sinelanguage » Mon Dec 18, 2006 5:01 pm

I just opened a pattern bassed XML file:

Will the presets remain in the XML format? If so, then it is conceivably possible to program patterns and presets using code. Also instead of uploading and downloading presets, you could conceivably paste them in an email or MSN, or even SMS. Can you imagine sending a fully programmed TR909 setup over cell phones. So cool....check it out: Even if you can't read XML, this should make sense to anyone who's ever step wrote with a Roland TR series.

Code: Select all

<Pattern name="Adam 1" length="16" stepsPerBeat="4" shuffle="0.000000" flam="0.500000" totalAccent="0.500000">
<BD>O...O...O...O...</BD>
<SD>................</SD>
<LT>................</LT>
<MT>................</MT>
<HT>................</HT>
<RS>................</RS>
<HC>................</HC>
<CH>.oOo.oO..oOo.oO.</CH>
<OH>................</OH>
<CR>................</CR>
<RD>................</RD>
<TA>................</TA>
</Pattern>
Admin: now looks better ;)

Yes I was happy too when I saw the XML format :). It's a great and - in the VST world - innovative way of import/export.

Yes we're also very happy from this decision. But it's just beginning. Wait for the updates for new XML based features... :)

Cheers,
