Dance for Syria

The first volume of Dance 4 Syria compilation is officially released on iTunes. The other two, Vol 2 Industrial and Vol 3 Unclassified will be released on 5 Aug, respectively 15 Aug.


It has been launched officially. This Creative Invite is the perfect opportunity for you as an artsit or band to get your original tracks placed on the Dance 4 Syria compilation. They are looking for 8 artists who will have their song released alongside other dance acts like Psy’aviah, Caustic, Hexxis, Dr Death & Mr Vile and many more. It’s open to all Dance genre’s. The Dance 4 Syria Jury will pick 5 winners. The 3 most popular votes will also get placed on this benefit album that will be released in Spring 2013. So pick up your Synths, Instruments, Samplers and Other Musical parrafinalia and get into the zone.

135 AES NY Convention

AES 135 Student Competition Finalists Announced! Philip Gosselin from McGill University and Tad Nicol from University of Miami received their awards (license for Sigmund).


Celebrating 65th anniversary, the AES Convention will once again host the world's largest gathering of audio professionals, attracting attendees from around the globe. This year's convention will be bigger and better than ever, as the top names in professional audio engineering converge for the latest audio innovations through workshops, tutorials, technical papers, booth exhibits and product showcases. D16 participates as sponsor at the upcoming Student Recording Competition at AES 135 in New York.

Get ready for the AES 135 Student Recording Competition and Student Design Competition! The AES Student Recording Competition is a unique opportunity for students at AES international conventions to receive feedback and recognition for their audio production work. Students can enter the competition in four different categories covering every possible genre and recording technique. The AES Student Design Competition is an opportunity for aspiring hardware and software engineers to participate in a worldwide contest and gain recognition for their hard work and technical creativity. The Eurodance Riff Contest 2013

Let's bring back the eurodance of the 90s! The main scope of the contest is to create beautiful eurodance riffs and win amazing prizes! What you will need to do is to create a eurodance riff in the 90s style. You can use any music tool you want, just make sure you are respecting the rules below. The audio quality is not important, what we are looking for is an original catchy memorable eurodance riff! The rules:

  • key: minor
  • signature: 4/4
  • tempo: 130-140 bpm
  • length: 8 bars
  • instruments: 1-3 (synth, drums, bass)
  • file format: .mp3
  • You can submit maximum 3 entries.
  • Your entries must be original work!

The 2013 Electronic Music Conference and Audio Expo

The 2013 Electronic Music Conference and Audio Expo or EMEX 2013 is an annual multi-faceted platform for the Philippine electronic music scene, the audio and music products industry, the nightclub entertainment industry, and the performing artists, DJs, electronic music producers, and musicians. This year, EMEX will be held at SMX Convention Center Taguig, the newest civic center in Bonifacio Global City, also known as The Fort located in the city of Taguig. EMEX is proud to be one of the first few events to be held at this venue. D16 Group was one of the sponsors at that event.

134 AES Recording Competition

And we've got winners of 134th AES Recording Competition in Rome. They've been awarded with D16's software handed by AES Convention organizers. Congratulations to grand prize winners as well as to runner-ups.


The AES Student Recording Competition is a unique opportunity for student attendees of international AES Conventions to receive feedback and recognition for their audio production work. This time Rome in Italy is the location where upcoming 134th AES Recording Competition will take place (May 2013). Analogue to Digital - Music Expo 2013

Southwest's premier music industry and music technology show celebrates its 5th year anniversary on Saturday 18 May at Exeter Phoenix. Organised by social enterprise Sound Gallery Studios, this unique event brings withit hundreds of visitors and an impressive guest speaker line-up featuring Peter Gabriel and Led Zeppelin percussionist Hossam Ramzy, soundscape innovator Richard Barbieri of Porcupine Tree, Big Country’s Tony Butler, Bristol Drum n Bass producer and Roni Size engineer D-Product, MU officer Paul Gray, Martin Walker (Sound On Sound), drummer Ash Soan (Adele, Squeeze, Del Amitri), Steve Knightley (Show of Hands) and more. You can expect some workshops there involving D16 Group's software.
