Thanks for the update, i can't find a way to take the gui size back to the smaller version, do we not have this as an option? with the keyboard i can't see the whole synth anymore..

Also CPU usage is worse with multithreaded option switched on..

Hi guys,

We've just updated LuSH-101 to version 1.1.0, which includes multi-core support and GUI in higher resolution. Please share feedback and thoughts about the update here.

Multi-core option is by default disabled and needs to be enabled manually from Options panel, here you will find instruction how to do that:

Kind regards,
Sebastian

Hi Ed,

Multi-core needs to be enabled manually (Options panel), keyboard can be hidden using Options as well (GUI tab). Unfortunately there's no way to switch the skin to the smaller one, we just decided to increase resolution, but skinning option had to be postponed to next update.

Cheers,
D16 Group

Okay thanks, do you think at some point in the future the smaller GUI will be added back as an option? I'm sure for lots of people the Big GUI is great, but here it doesn't fit on the screen.

Here when i switch multithreaded CPU on in lush settings, the CPU goes up... I'm using FL studio as a host, which has it's own multithreaded plugin options, maybe it is best to leave it to FL?

Hi,

At some point we are going to provide whole variety of skins to select from; different colors and sizes as well.

About the multithreading; i'm not sure how it exactly works in FL Studio, but i believe it makes possible to run plug-ins on separate threads, while single plug-in cannot be by host "splitted" on two three or more separate threads. THat's why we had to implement multi-core support on our side (plug-in internally creates threads on its own). Just increase polyphony voices and enable more layers in LuSH and you'll see hyperthreading in FL Studio won't help, you will need multi-core enabled in our plug-in. Also it's worth mentioning that initial cost of multi-core is pretty high, so it sometimes not worth to enable it if you presets has just few voices of polyphony, because thread management can take substantial part of total plug-in cpu overload.

Cheers,
Sebastian

Hi all,
the CPU gain is very significant with this update !

The "Hard Sync" on the Timbre Settings is an good idea, it produce a sounds more percussive, specially with the bass or the leads sounds.

Great job

Best regards.

Hi Laurent,

Thank you :)

New version (1.1.0) of LuSH-101 can consume more CPU than version 1.0.1 only for presets with very small polyphony, like just few voices for whole plug-in. In that case it is wise to disable multi-core at all, because LuSH-101's internal task manager can itself take substantial part of the plug-in's overall CPU usage. Enabling multi-core options "pays off" for more complex patches with more layers active or greater polyphony.

Cheers,
Sebastian
